Back in 2013, we were two single parents who found each other online. Since then, we’ve raised our children together, started a new life in Maryland, bought a house, and shared all the joy, heartache, and growth over those twelve years. While we make our home in Maryland these days, our southern roots are still shining through. Kevin grew up in east Tennessee and Cortney grew up across the mountains in western North Carolina.

Kevin is a software engineer. He loves the Tennessee Volunteers like no other, and you’ll always see him with some orange on. Kevin is a long-time water baby and enjoys swimming and kayaking.

Cortney is director of membership at the American Physical Society, a non-profit that champions the work of physicists in changing the world. She is an avid crafter whose hands are always busy with yarn, fiber, or fabric. You’ll usually find her listening to some fantasy or sci-fi novel at top speed.
